Mesotherapy with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) explained
Tiny quantities of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, minerals and platelet-rich plasma from a small amount of a patient’s own blood are injected by micro-needles into the skin to aid in its repair at a cellular level.
It’s the platelets in our blood that help to repair tissue damage in our bodies and, when injected as part of Mesotherapy, these platelets stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin to plump it up, renewing lost strength and elasticity, and turning back the years on wrinkles and lines.

What to expect from your treatment?

The Consultation. We only ever proceed with a treatment after a thorough consultation to ensure that you are aware of the process and the realistic expectations of success from Mesotherapy. This is your opportunity to ask questions, and ours to assess whether this is the best treatment for you.

The Treatment. You choose whether you wish to have numbing medication before the procedure though as the treatment is administered through micro-injections, the potential for discomfort is minimal. Injections penetrate only one to four millimetres into the skin, depending on where the treatment is being applied, and the treatment is commonly carried out over three sessions, each 6 weeks from the last.

Downtime and Downside? There usually is no or minimal downtime though if you experience any swelling, discomfort or bruising at the site of the injections you may wish to take a day off.

How Long Does It Last? The length of time between treatments at the end of your three sessions will vary depending on where it was administered and what it was for. Please ask your skin expert for advice in your particular case.
