Dermal Fillers explained
Dermal fillers are a popular way of volumising ageing skin that has lost its youthful looks. Hyaluronic acid, which the body naturally produces but that diminishes with age, is injected to add volume and hydration which improves the look and feel of your skin. While a bespoke treatment may suit some, practitioners began to find that injections of these fillers at certain points on the face creates consistent results and the eight-point facelift was created. While the injection locations of this treatment are set, your practitioner will decide whether all of them are required to achieve the results you are after.

What to expect from your treatment?

The Consultation. While the results in many patients can be spectacular, the eight-point facelift is not for everyone – it depends on the look or change you are seeking, the condition of your skin, and many other factors. Our pre-treatment consultation is our opportunity to discuss the procedure with you, to give you full visibility of what we will do and the effects of the treatment. If you have any questions, do ask them – our consultation is also for you to gain all the knowledge you need to be comfortable with us and our treatment.

The Treatment. The eight points at which micro-injections will be administered as part of this treatment are along the cheekbone and under the tear trough, along the nasal-labial folds, under your bottom lip, along the jawline and in front of your ear. Treatments usually take around 45 minutes.

Downtime and Downside? The treatment can cause some discomfort, but the anaesthetic included in the fillers will minimise this. As with all similar treatments, there is a possibility of swelling, bruising and tenderness for a day or two, but most people are able to resume normal activity very soon after treatment.

How Long Does It Last? Results will start to show within weeks and after one month you will see your skin firmer, plumper and rejuvenated. These results can last for anything between 12 and 18 months depending on the patient, before another treatment is recommended.
